I can’t take my eyes off of you
Your thin grey silt
Your hard paved beauty
Tall introspective communities
Withdrawn forms of love
How you echo with life
Ring out with depression
Are never silent yet have nothing to say
Always humming
Honking
Dinging
Laughing
Screaming
Something
I can’t look away from your demons
Your daughters, sons, hookers, homes
Your corruptive devilish delights
Coffee houses, poverty plagues, the jingling of change in a cup
All your musicians, layers, office workers, mothers, nannies, nuns
I can’t take my eyes off of you

Mostly due to distrust and distain…

Great poem! Great ending! Once again, different world through the same eyes. ;-)

I was thinking of scale. Same sins and beauty, just less compressed ;-) I simply love this one!

Epic ending

Completely twisted my view of this piece.

I applaud your creative genius.
