Just because

I try as hard as I can

Just to keep the smallest bit of faith

And hope,

And tend to be

A bit of a dreamer sometimes,

People think I'm naive,

But I'm not.



I'm human too.

I have a mind,

And a heart,

And I have feelings.



And I have needs,

But,right now,

What I need most

Is just the chance

To give you everything

You need.



I mean,

I know it may seem

That I'm just really excited

About being in my first relationship

And finding love

At 21,

And I am,

But it goes much deeper than that.



I love you,Bret.

Like I've never loved anyone;

Like I may never love          

Anyone else again.



I don't see this to be

Just an ordinary relationship  

That anyone can have.  

I see it to be a dream-come-true,

Which is exactly the way that I see you.



You're like my lover,

My brother,

And one of my best friends

All in one

Beautiful person,

And you mean so much to me:

More than you'll ever

Even be able to imagine.



I really don't know where I'd be without you.

Before I met you,

I was empty,

Faithless,

And alone,

And had nothing to look forward to.

And I had to fill my head

With empty dreams

And false hopes

Just to have something to live for.



But then I found you,

And everything changed.



You gave me my life back,

And you taught me how to love myself,

As well as to feel love

For-and-from other people.

And you showed me

That dreams really can come true,

If only you believe;

Which now I do

Because of you.



I believe in you.

I believe in us.

And I really want this  

Feeling

To last forever.

I've waited too long to find you,

And I never want to lose you again.



And I believe that my life

Has finally begun,

When I found love

At 21.
