Seven Years
Has it been that long since I saw you last?
Or was it yesterday when we said our long good-bye?
Twice a week I came to spend time with you
A sad routine that gave us some joy
We knew it was coming - but always later.

Yesterday I said good-bye
See you on Wednesday.
And you looked long at me
And I looked long at you.

You knew
And I knew

Yesterday we said good-bye
For the last time and cried
Seven years ago.
