Escape To The Sea

Folder:
Improv 2002

Home is where the heart is

That's what they always say

But I regret to inform you

I beg to differ today

~

If home is where the heart is

then it would beat so free

But in my case my heart is dying

in the cage set forth in me

~

Home isn't where the heart is

at least with mine I know

My hearts set adrift far off

where the waters flow

~

I'm here at home with all the fights

How can you call us a family?

We have split up so now I'm off

to escape to my fair sea

~

Relaxing waves will crash against

this natural wall of stone

And cover each little barnacle

on the rocks in which they've grown

~

My heart is now at peace

and resting by the sea

And if you need an escape

just come and follow me

~

I will take you to a place

where no one will bother you

You will be able to sit and think

in your very own solitude

~

I'm in a better place now

I've escaped out to the sea

That is why Iā€™m telling you

home isn't where the heart is, for me
