A GLASS OF WATER

Folder:
2003 Poetry

Like a flaming sword

edgy to infiltrate

the temple of Cleopatra,

malicious stares fastened

to a cambric cover, almost

diaphanous, revealing

a succulent figure.

Greedily, eyes prowling down

to the udder, drooling for

a velvety suction.

Had she worn a more

conservative adorn; he wouldn’t

have to battle the demon of passion,

and when he couldn’t hold the shiver

any more, he inundated himself

with a glass of water

maybe to cool down his fast

escalating temper.

point made... althouth a glass of water
is seldom enough to quench and inferno
and Marc Anthony need three Niles to
quench the furious passions he felt
for Cleopatra
