BREAKING THE DAWN

a shrill not from afar

that only her ears

could heed the torn

a force powerfully

splitting her deep within

agog to conquer

the glory of the instant



the struggle she puts in

could not do away anything

this repugnant virility

that she couldn’t imagine

all the songs of prayer

she sang didn’t help her

pleading her life would go

along with her innocence
