in quiet terrorist anger
they sit stoically full of hate
so much despise in their
defiant demeanor
the epitome of souls
near that to emptied
of any form of love's
prerequisite as of late
a demonized ideology
they drape around their
shoulders
that promotes the massive
killing of innocents
victims too
to some degree
these somber
prisoners themselves
you might even say
in very many ways
defy in their stance
to be sacrificed
indoctrinated by
scholars who
twist and misinterpret
an otherwise
perfectly good faith
ravaging it with their
violence and intolerance
against those not of the
more narrow view of
man's earthly fate
not that I pity such
fiendish back peddling
militant cyclists
ushering
with all their modern
and destructive tools
lesser others
back into the dark ages
haughty disdain over
proceedings for
what massive slaughter
they have inflicted
makes their defiance
to participate
seem as stubborn
and foolhardy as Judas
or even Abel's own brother Cain
where as for justice
the world feels uplifted........

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I wrote this after recently seeing a news article about Khalid Sheik Mohammad (the mastermind behind the September 11nth attacks on the World Trade Centers, The U.S. Pentagon and the failed flight that was ran aground in Shanksville, P.A.) The news told of how they all sat in silence and would not participate in their own trial in defiance and that ate at me deep inside for days. I knew a poem would come out sometime about that but I couldn't say when and then today it suddenly came. Now something in me has eased. What happens to those men here on this earth matters not. God knows what they did and what was in their hearts so I am fine with whatever happens to them. I wanted to share the peace through poetry that alighted in me. I hope you enjoy what peace and logic I was able to garner from this circus they put on.

Wow

Very powerful. It made me think about how sad it is when a person just follows something (or someone) blindly without examining whether what they're following is worth following. If that makes any sense.
