Remembering Better Days

She grabs her bags and she walks through the door

an empty apartment with chipped painted doors

how many days will she waste time away

how many tears will she cry while she lays all alone

so empty inside, with no one to tell her shell be alright.

So she walks through the streets

and she glances at strangers who pay her no mind

are they as empty as inside as she is

remembering better days.

She looks at boxes of all that she owns

all that remains for her cold lifeless home

pictures of people who no longer care

she closes her eyes and pretends that shes there

back again

back by their side

but in pretend you cant always hide.

So she walks through the streets

and she glances at strangers who pay her no mind

are they as empty as inside as she is

remembering better days

and she feels so alone

like no one can save her

like nobody cares

no one can see her

cause nobodies there

to remember the better days.

And shes losing

shes breaking down

oh

shes falling

she cant back down

nobody cares, nobodys there

to pick up her pieces

they stand back and stare

oh

So she walks through the streets

and she glances at strangers who pay her no mind

are they as empty as inside as she is

remembering better days

and she feels so alone

like no one can save her

like nobody cares

no one can see her

cause nobodies there

to remember the better days.

To remember.
