Depression,
The worst most horrible nightmare
a person sees in real life.
Fighting day in, day out
but theres no escape.
You have sun shining through your window,
and all you can focus in on a window of pain
Pushing me
to all this crying, drinking, cutting
just to kill the pain

I dont wana hurt no more,
no i dont wana feel dispair.
Is like i loose a gulp of air
just tryina catch my next breath

I sit,
I pray,
myself i recollect.
I fall asleep,
just to greet another day
of pain.
So i pray,
I hold gods hand even
when i feel it slipping away..
I'm not letting you go
no,
not this time
im holding you tighter
i'm keeping you here
right by my side.

..and a year later, im sitting in my room,
laying, thinking, writing
of all the blessing i have,
so grateful.
Holding on to all the bad memories,
so just the good ones can feel more tasteful.
so for every day i have
lord im thankful.
