You don’t visit me anymore

In my lonely dreams at night

Nor any longer paint a picture

Before my closed shallow eyes

But you still linger deep inside my heart

You still flow in my river

But you’re far out of reach

All I can do is watch

And learn the bitter truth

See the reality in this fantasy

Something that won’t ever be

It’s an irreplaceable feeling

Unable to cut it free

Forever engraved inside
