Through the park I go,
Where to, I don't know,
From the darkened skies pours down the rain,
Hitting my face as it hides away my pain.
The wind whistles,
And the leaves rustle,
Letting me know I'm not on my own,
As I walk down the path, unknown.
My clouded mind blocking out the thunder,
Where will my feet take me I wonder,
Hopefully somewhere where I can enjoy the view,
Somewhere I can start anew.
As the rain stops,
And the clouds begin to fade,
A tear drops from my eye,
As i see my reflection in a puddle and ask 'Who am I?'
That's the question I'm dying to answer,
And I'm walking in the hope I'll find it,
And also a place where I can finally fit,
Where I won't feel the need to slit.
I see a bench where I used to sit as a child,
Before my whole life went wild,
Sitting there takes me to my happy place,
Which nothing on earth could replace.
I think i've found the place,
I can finally embrace,
And call my own,
Where I won't be Unknown.
