Author's Notes/Comments:

The reader gives a kind of breath to the poet's words, enlivening or reviving them (especially if they are ancient, or unusually forgotten).  Lady Cara, whom I consider one of my dearest friends, is, herself, an ideal reader---with one of the most poetic personalities I have encountered.
