And here I am,
Something tugs at me,
The hurt, it demands,
Something tugs at me,
That I give in, give in,
Something tugs at me,
I can feel it release,
Yet...
Something tugs at me,
Within me, it swims,
Hurt, regection, longing,
Sin?
I feel it, like a river,
Wash over me,
“Like emptiness
And harmony,
I need someone
To comfort me.”
The words reach me,
Something tugs at me,
I want to scream,
Something tugs at me,
Want to cause pain,
Something tugs at me,
Want to laugh in vain,
Something tugs at me,
Want to cry til death comes,
Something tugs at me,
Feel the hurt til it numbs,
Something tugs at me,
It’s stabbing, it hurts,
I love it, the spurts,
The blood, the blood,
I can see it,
Thin like water,
Thick like mud,
It’s painful, I know,
But I want it so,
The crimson, the liquid,
Fresh like newfallen snow,
The death, it’s so thick,
In the air, I see it drip,
The blood, the blood,
It’s still thin like water,
Still thick like mud,
I have made myself dirty,
Something tugs at me-
Yet I don’t know what...
So far no one has been able to keep me at the edge of my seat like this poem has. When you have the reader captivated like that you know than that you must be doing something magnificent, & I hope that you keep up your beautiful writings.
