Because I love you

I want you by my side

Because

That's the only way I'd feel alive

And because I love you

I cry

Because I know

I'm not with you

And because I love you

I feel my heart

And it beats

Painfully.

It screams

Because I love you

And I hide

Because, I don't want this to die

Because

I fight the urge to dream

And dream too much

Because it hurts

Yet I don't want to wake up

Because I love you

And because of that

I hurt

Because I know

Its futility and total lack of hope

Because I know life will go on

Even after I go

And because the world won't stop

Because I am torn

It won't for that reason alone

But because I love you

I live to see your smile

Before mine fades

Because

You give me strength

When I am weak

And I am weak, and my soul is weak

And I depend too much

So I don't want my weakness

To drive you away

Because I love you

And because I do

I yearn

For you, even if you cannot see

Just how much

But still I do
