Since you've gone

I dont understand

Where things went wrong



A place in my heart

Reserved for you

I think about us

When I feel blu



I remember all

The fun times shared

But with it comes

The tears we've beared



In my heart

You'll always be

For you opened my eyes

& made me see



Held my hands

When I shook with fear

Wiped my cheek

When you saw a tear



Gave me a hug

When I was alone

& whispered to me

Your never on your own



You were there

When I lost all I had

To make me smile

When I was sad



You gave me a look

Sayin you'll never leave

To ease the pain in my chest

So that I could breathe



And saved my life

Before I could take it

And grabbed my heart

Before I could break it



You told me how

To keep going

What lies ahead

I go without knowing



Pushing forward

I look to the past

It breaks my heart

To know it didnt last



If you were here

Id tell you how I feel

I dream about it

Knowing its not real



Your gone now

But who's to blame

For all this

I feel ashamed



I didnt hold on

& so you've gone

You were there

I knew all along



But I was stubborn

Didnt want to ask

Thats in the past

Ive lost the war

So I ask myself
