I gave you my heart,

I thought forever

You promised to never rip it apart

So, I thought you would break it never



I gave you as much love as I had

Thought that we would last

Did not think it would hurt this bad

Nor did I think it would end this fast



I stood by your side through it all

I held your hand everytime you would fall

I loved you even through all your flaws

You are the one that I wanted no matter what



But I guess we don't always get what we desire

We sit back and watch the flames burn higher

We wait but never react

We loved each other but we just couldnt keep it going and thats a fact



Guess now it is time to let go

We will find something better soon, I know

Can't keep fighting what is not meant to be

Now we know that is not you and me
