The rowers in stride
grappling with mighty Schuylkill
heed coaches holler
as the early morning chill
relents to a rising sun
Author's Notes/Comments:
I write a lot of haiku, senyru, tanka and fiverse while riding the Septa train to and from work. This one was inspired by a predawn crossing of the Schuylkill River watching rowing teams practicing in the early morning.
almost Googled it
Googled it, Pennsylvania. Saw pix of skullers - bridges. Looks like grand countryside. ~s~
