I was hurt, I was scared

couldn't find a friend who cared

I was there for everyone else

but none were there when I needed help

when I talked they had closed ears

they disreguarded my pain and fears

but then God brought you into my life

in the midst of my darkness shined a little light

and I have never been so happy, never felt this way

and every night when I get on my knees to pray

I thank God for bringing you into my life

to help heal all the pain and all of the strife

I've never had a friend like you before

you give me a reason to keep living for

other friends were only good friends when they felt like it

when you walked into my life God gave me a precious gift



you listen to what I have to say

when I'm down you don't turn away

you don't insult me or put me down

you don't call me names when I wear a frown

you show me I am loved which I am not used to

rarely ever do any of my friends ever say "I love you"

but you always make me feel good about myself

with you I don't feel so completely worthless

you actually want to hang out with me

you look at the part of me that no one else could see

I just wanted to tell you how special you are to me

that your friendship is as wonderful as can be

I never thought that any friend could be like you are

but you proved me wrong and you touched my heart

I never thought I would open up myself to anyone ever again

because every other person has left me in the end

and my trust fund was running on low almost empty

but you came and brought out all that was inside of me
