A dove finds it voice

Perched on a pedastool
She watches, she waits
In silence
Alone

Her support networks are strong
They believe in you
They see your true colours

Not all the beans were spilled on the bloodied battlefield
But may they all come out one day
May the world see you as they do now
They only judge the ways they do because they don't know you as I do

She feels she is the only one who knows the truth
They wouldn't listen
It didn't fit

But finally she spoke out
She came out from under a cloak of legality
And spoke her side
Hope they listen, hope they learn

So good to hear your voice
So clear, so true
Life changed, world broken, but hopefully you're rebuilding it now

May your wings be unbound and allowed to open
May you be free to fly, sing and soar
Walk tall little bird for you are the bearer of justice
Don't give in, don't give up
Don't let them get to you
Don't let them take you down

You are here
You are not alone
Hopefully they get what is coming to them

I am fascinated by the word

I am fascinated by the word "pedastool" because I did not think it was possible for a word to invoke both "stool pigeon" and "hot chick in bar" simultaneously. And maybe something about legal protection. You are a witty linguist and still tell a poignant story. Cheers!
