The seed was snugly placed

dark and safe

until it decided to stretch through the soil

It ws thrst into an endless world,

full of light and sound and fury.

The little seed was terrified,

but could not go back.

It could only continue to grow,

and slowly each out for all that we love,

and all that we fear,

and all that gives us joy.
