watching young lovers walk by
takes my mind back in time
to where we had that same look
in our eye's
back before I knew how to cry

to them I say a silent prayer
hoping they don't end up here
a place for the broken heart's
to share

I remember when I thought I would die
without her by my side
but you'll be surprised by what you can
live through

sitting by the window watching young lovers
walk by
I hope no one see's the old man cry
