they say what I had , I can't get back again
but each time her name crosses my lips
it's like a prayer
I close my eyes an' hope she’s coming back,
open them to see .........
only four wall's shrouded in darkness
but god if you're really out there
don't give up on me ...........
cause I haven't given up on her

have you ever looked into a baby's eyes
free from the responsibility of having done wrong
and cried for the inocentes that will to soon be gone
I can't describe the darkness effectively to those
who haven't seen it
but those who have understand
there's demons to by fought

I've looked down both the right and wrong end of a gun
and trembled with adrenalin an' fear
but nothing compares to the terror of finding yourself alone
tell me what it's all about all the heartache an' pain
something to drive me insane ?

have you ever looked into a baby's eyes so innocent and wide
and in spite of what you know
smiled back and whispered a silent prayer
god if you're really out there
don't give up on me ...........
