You were born from me my blessed child

A creation of wonder making my life worthwhile

You are the sun that warms me with each smile

You are the joy in my heart that never tires

Your laughter is golden as it reaches my ears

As I watch you grow up thru out the years

You believe in fairytales, dreams and songs

You are innocent, sweet and see no wrong

You are full of smiles and hugs

Loving caring whispers of love

You are the sparkle that shines in my eyes

It's your future I think of in bed each night

My love for you is amazing, so hard to understand

It is the love of a parent as I hold your small hand

I cherish the little cards that you have made for me

I show them off proudly for everyone to see

I love you my child and for you I am thankful

You are the treasured dream making me grateful

Thanks to the heavens and the stars above
