You never know
where a poem
is going to go.
You don't have a clue,
what a poem is going to do.
OK, you think, a poem will go one way.
Then, it goes another.
It can be totally different than when you started out.
That is what poetry is all about.

That has been my experience since 1969 after my first publication of a poem. They can be fair winds unpredictable.
