I sat out on your doorstep,

waiting for you to walk up the path way.

Feelings were rushing through my head,

as I wanted to express my feelings to you.

Hours had passed,

started doubting the love I had for you.

The thought of you loving someone else,

would tear my insides upside down.

Maybe it was better that I didn't know?

but for some reason I needed to tell you.

It hurt the fact you wouldn't feel the same,

but I couldn't go on forever with the possibilty of having a chance.

our friendship is like no other,

you are there for me, I'm there for you.

My life has changed,

for the better.

The moment I met you,

was love at first site.

I couldn't tell you,

even though I wanted to so many times.

Tonight was the time for me to let you know,

but now I'm unsure as I wait here in the darkness.

It's time to go as its already late,

I walk home in sadness with a broken heart.

As I reach the house with the porch light on,

there sitting on my doorstep is the one.

The one I have been wanting to talk too,

It's finally the time I let him know.

The words jumbled up inside,

as we reach for each others hands.

At that time the words from both our mouths,

come out to say I love you!
