He had come searching for food...

He had come searching for food... it was his job to do so, for his own community. There was nothing peculiar about it. He wasn’t starving, and neither was the village he came from. He was just doing the daily duties...

Across the prairie, and past the rolling thunder, lay the forbidden kingdom of Arrogantus Erectus; where, as the legend had it, great fortunes would be had by those who dared venture its forsaken realm.

*                *              *

As a loyal worker he thought “why not? It should not matter from where I gather the daily load”, and proceed towards the long journey ahead; if I leave now, I should be home by dusk.

*                *              *

Arriving at the forbidden kingdom, he took precaution in his advance and fortified his stealth.

*                *              *

To his surprise, the foretold danger was nowhere to be seen. All he could see was a well-organised superior being; monster-like, yet possessing an unprecedented form of communication & technology.

*                *              *

They seemed to know he was there, scavenging around, yet they left him to his devices, as long as he kept his distance.

Sitting in his castle, as he had for o so many days, he suddenly heard a low buzzing noise echoing down the chamber hallway. He readied his dagger, should any unpleasant confrontations arise...

- brb... there's a bee in my room! :|

-

- :-O bee..carefull.

-

- wow... I just had an extraordinary moment with nature :|

- my first instincts were overridden by my stoned reasoning

- which deemed the handling of a bee ought to be more tactful than that of getting rid of a fly

-

- omigod

- u silly boy!

- u didnt!!

-

- then I remembered that bee's have their own language for navigation

-

- did u get stung?

-

- why?

- I helped him instead

- bee's are awesome navigators

- I had just closed my door & he couldn't find his way back

- so I opened it & yes I was right... he proceeded to go out of the room straight away

- then I opened the front door but he went straight to the kitchen...

-

- really?

-

- thought about it for a sec then it clicked! of course he came in through the side door!

- so I ran into the lounge & opened the door & whaddya know! ;)

- the team work was astounding

-

- :)heheh

-

- I connected with a bee! :|

-

- wow, tht's somtin new.

- wonder wht the bees thinking now..

-

- hmm... he better not go back & tell that our house has a low-risk scavenge factor cause of the hippie living in it :p

-

- kekeke..

This was my favorite. I found your poems and bio in the spotlight on the homepage and just wandered on in and just like the bee, I got a bit stuck and coulden't just leave... You seem to have an amazing life full of all the normal everyday everything's but with an edge and a perspective that few must share or understand. You should write a book! Oh, and by the way...for all your chasing and opening doors for the little guy, bee's navigate by the sunlight. You must be a nice person though, to have gone to all that trouble without just squishing him. LOL. I like your stuff!
