Xylophone Grave

Folder:
Loss / Mourning

A xylophone plays.

How?

My tears falling onto the coffin

right before burial, that's what.

A tear plinking a different tone

from the last.

A mournful song plays as they all fall.

Upsetting, I know, but time will heal.

Flowers in hand releasing them,

I show that I'll miss you.

Rest...

...wow, i loved that. This was sad but really beautiful. Also, i liked the relation to music, seeing as music is such a massive part of my life, it helps me understand the meaning of poems sometimes. It's often hard to write about loss and acceptance, but this is an awesome poem.
Nicely done.

Wow, that is powerful. I see the pain of lossing the loved one caused.
