Beloved(s)

As you sleep I sit there and watch.

Cute.

How this person dreams is tender.

Caressing that soft cheek its you I care for.

Go and dream pleasant visions, I'll watch you from afar.

Kissing your forehead slowly let me sing a lullaby,

a song from a rhythmic moon, broken, yet a panacea to us all.

Let a dream transcend to the upper reaches

where dreams dance the waltz of night.

Swirling, flying, falling, the dreamscape opens

and I'm there smiling a few meters away.

The sandman permitted us a place to meet.

I run, hugging you close for as long as we could,

but I'm sorry this dream will end...

I wanted to prove I cared about you

but dreams can stop.

They're only illusions.

The dream passage closes leaving you to awake,

and I'm not there beside you.

Reality can be harsh, but that's the way it is.

But always know that in essence I'll protect you

wherever you go accompanying you 'til your final breath...

my beloved(s).

i absolutely love this poem, its pretty, the imagery is beautiful and i was wondering if it's ok if i use the line 'the sansman permitted us a place to meet.' I find it very touching and has inspired me to write sumthin within a different context.
