Five Bucks In My Wallet So I Gave It Away

Shopping Cart

Rattle rattle rattle

Curbside solicitations

Gaunt and frustrated

Hold up sign

Ashamed as well ignored

Cars pass by the invisible

A twist of my heart!!!

Here

Take without question

Five bucks from my wallet

Teary thanks big smile

To receive geneorisity

Green light hits

And so I drove away

You've got a really good heart, and it was so generous of you to give money to the people on the street, for they can't afford to either buy a home or have any place to live, and it's always good to be able to help them out by giving them a dollar or two. It's really wonderful!! And as I said before, you've got a really good heart!! =)

Yeah I've given a dollar or two to people on the streets of Chicago. But after a while it was like there were so many there is no way I was going to make a dent. Instead of the Iraq catastrophe, I think federal taxes should go to help destitute people right here in the States so no one has to be on the street and suffer like that.

sounds like donation to a street person, if so, good for you. Many would hesitate because they think it would go into booze/drugs but most street people don't want to be there in the first place.
