What drives us to know what drives us

What asks us to ask ourselves

What screams in us to scream at us

What dreams to dream ourselves

Intricate feelings are fondling the whisps

Of the dark and euphoric drinks that I sip

I grapple for knowledge that's useless to hold

But without all that struggle I'd never grow bold

Tell me the reasons I yearn for the strain

Of being unsteady in the ground that I gain

My mind is all cobwebbed with muttery thoughts

But the freedom to portray that I drink down in draughts

What life makes living so hard

What thoughts make hoping so rare

What words making talking so hard

What love of love is so rare

Like you, I am like me, I am like everyone else, I am like every living thing

Like you, I am like the earth, like the breeze, like the ocean

Like you, I am perfectly lost and perfectly found

Like you, I am basking in the rays of the sun

Like you, I walk with my head down just enough to see where I step

Like you, I walk with a question in my palm and a word on my tongue

Like you, I ask what
