bishu the Guru.

bishu an Indian Guru had an Idea he wanted to give the children of his beloved Country something that would make the children happy. One thought chased the other through his agile mind. He discarded one after another his thoughts were continually being interrupted by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes that wanted blood and bishu had blood and did not mind giving the pesky mosquitoes a little of his blood but he just could not stand the itching that these bites caused.

Slapping at a mosquito he touched the keyboard of his computer and saw the name of his mate far away in Austria Bern. His thoughts changed not from pesky Mosquitoes. What would Bern have done with such a plague? Then he had this wonderful idea. Bern would have got the help of Her Majesty the Fairy Queen Feeanna. Feeanna would have waved her magic wand and the mosquitoes would vanish to somewhere, where they could not annoy Bern any more.

Suddenly a bright flash filled the room a small whiff of smoke and in all her Beauty stood Bern’s, Fairy Queen, Queen Feeanna, Queen of all the Fairies. Smiling Her Majesty spoke, “You were thinking of me and of what Bern would have done to get rid of these Mosquitoes.” “You do not really believe in Fairies and thought that no Fairies existed outside of Bern’s Fantasy. I have come to rid you of the mosquitoes and to let you know that Fairies are all over this world that you call Earth.” “Bern had a dream in which I was privileged to play a small part. In his dream he was thinking of a way for you to tell the Indian children about Fairies.” “Friend of Bern’s, all Indian children know about Fairies we visit the children in their play and in their dreams.”

“I the Queen of all the Fairies could wave my magic wand and you would write one story after the other. I will not do this for then the stories would not be genuine Indian stories and would possibly not capture the imagination of the children of this vast continent.” I will leave with you a few ideas. You may use them or not but you could possibly become an Ambassador to the Royal Fairy Court. I have been toying with this thought for quite some time, It would be an honour for us to have such a learned Guru as a go between, even more so as a friend to the world of Fairies. Her Majesty smiled again and the same bright flash with a whiff of smoke and my friend bishu was again alone with his thoughts.

To bishu’s delight his room was free of mosquitoes. He sat for hours wondering whether he had just had a daydream or was Her Majesty really here in this room. Then he noticed the writing book and the pen that were on his small writing table. This writing book and pen had not been there before his visitor had come. For a while bishu looked at the two objects on the table, taking the pen in his hand he felt the urge to start writing. The pen had a magic all of its own no matter what bishu wrote the pen never went dry. Ink was not a problem for this Fairy pen. As bishu wrote page after page more fresh sheets of paper appeared at the end of the book. He would never be able to fill this magic book it would always have enough paper for new stories.

Napat and Lalitom

Napat and Lalitom two lovely Indian fairies from the deserts of Jaisalmer Desert in India. They drank the juice from cactii leaves which grew there in abundance. They slept on the cactus leaves without the thorns pricking them. They were fairies and not mere mortals. One day a small boy named Enreb wandered away from his home and lost his way in the desert. He soon began crying and wailing Frown He missed his parents you know as well as his tiny sister Bulloo back home. He became quite tired and thirsty walking alone in the hot desert sun. He looked up to the sky and made a wish "Take me to my home" The fairies as you all know can read thoughts especially of small children. Enreb in a jiffy found himself just in front of the wooden door of his home. The little fairies were happy to have helped this small child. In any case what are fairies for? Smile As soon as Enreb knocked on his door the fairies changed their mind. They had taken a liking to Enreb, specially Lalitom who had four transparent wings and slender arms with long fingers. She waved her magic wand and took Enreb back to their desert place.Enreb was astonished as well as a bit happy. How could this have happened !! Then he saw the fairies just as he had imagined in his play and dreams. The happy threesome played for hours and hours. Strangely enough Enreb didn't miss his home now. He was very very happy.Smile Lalitom took one hand and Napat another hand of Enreb and together they flew across Rajasthan seeing the beautiful things from up above. It became dusk and they landed just in front of Enrebs home. When Enreb narrated his story to his parents they laughed out loud Laughing

Indian Fairies.

Wonderful my Friend, This is what I had in mind when I suggested that you write INDIAN Fairy tales. You have a vast knowledge of your Country and its myths and legends. I would do a poor job writing about India. I am waiting to see what next comes from your Magic Pen and the Magic paper to which there will b no end. Have a good nights sleep with dreams of Indian Fairies. From your mate in Austria Bern.
