A prisoner and his smoking breaks

You’ll never understand what it feels like to die
From the inside.
The fire withering
and you’re surrounded by the void

Sometimes you get lapses of light
but just when you’re about to rejoice
It lasted like a firework
and you’re back to where you belong

You wanted to believe
that the light will shine upon you at the end
The only thing is
You don’t see an end

There is no end
of this undying pattern
When the void comes back
as promising as the night will fall.

This is awsome!

With a little tidying up this will read so much easier I'd love it if you added a return after poignant words, start new lines in your stanzas. Eg after commas etc such a wonderful piece!
