POISON

Your quick, occasional deadly glances

are captured into the realm of my unconsciousness

prolonging the loss of my speech

Deliberately I avoid my own eyes,

for committing an eagerly sin of

luring pain ridden hearts to hope.

I gave away my soul

just to please the mind

and lost control of senses.

Now, touch and taste are all a dream

surrounded by dark-filled warmth

wishing to be a piece of you,

Want is deep but uncertain

as unconditional, infinite waiting

enduring, releasing, continuing

to bleed with poisonous desire.
