Drift like a leaf on wind, a feather

bathing on ocean current and I

will pull your shadow from your sun,

push from unlikely soil the seedling's

gift, but mostly, and with affection,

I will find such territory barren

so that naught may sprout

from thee.

Sailing like a comet across watchful

eyes, a bird swinging down to capture

an unearthed worm is where I will travel

to etch your aura and keep it folded

in my satchel to plant later and force

Springtime to summon you to the surface

most naturally with obsessiveness. Then,

I will burn your barren  brambles so naught

may sprout from thee.
