Even a crowd’s dynamic brings
with it a sense of motion; the
way they stand shoulder to
back, knee to thigh as if concerts
outside are there to encourage
touching.

He can turn them, the Righteous

Brothers sing, tides based on the pull
of the moon senselessly orbiting,
oblivious of sun or constellations.
Equally unaware that an imperfect

orbit affects large bodies

of water.

Oceans dream in colors of tides,

prepare their cycles around
ebb and neap, endlessly. Long
before we hit the scene, long
after we are gone they have
and will rush in then fade.
