Don't Come Knocking At My Door

Folder:
Dark Poetry

Don't come knocking at my door,
I'll answer not, for evermore,
Unlike so many times before,
Now only shadows cross the floor.

Last night the reaper called my name,
My final act, a crying shame,
With no-one but myself to blame,
In life or death, it's all the same.

Don't come knocking at my door,
I'll answer not, for evermore.
