Quaint Existence

The salty breeze of tears

Exhales hope onto my face.

The ocean cries right along next to me.

Soothing screams drain from her heart…

Meeting mine in the mist.

Foam from her soul kisses my toes,

Only to be dried by the harsh sand.

My love lies only in her,

And it dies where the tide thins on shore.

The air, the sweet serene silence,

But most of all… the acceptance.

Storm clouds arrange in already dim skies,

But yet, I am not scared.

Lightning threatens me to leave,

But yet, I am not scared.

Rain falls and mixes with my tears,

But yet, I am not scared.

I am forever alive,

One last time - the ocean moans my name.

The sweet sad harmonious sound of temptation,

It thrills me to join forever.

I have found my life, in the ocean…

And there, with peace of mind,

Is where my life shall end.

Author's Notes/Comments:

If you know the REAL version of "The Little Mermaid" you will know that she jumps off the boat and kills herself in the end. That's KINDA where I got the idea for this... except I'm not "killing myself" to save my "crush".
