UNTAMED

Somewhere in this fast paced world

where whirlwinds whip up

many an image, many a desperate dream

to salvage an existing

life of pain

It's here

that lately

the winds have stopped

I've been able to

see clearly through the trees

to tame

my fantasy

it is within me to dream

I neglect not my need to

satisfy this, my need to cream

I am reluctant to become

your follower

your essence pulls me

I never wanted to be

just another concubine

like a black diamond

I wanted to be

a rare find

you seduced me

with your words

you got me tipsy

off of your charm

you got me so high

so addicted to

being with you

yet

you put

your hands on me

now

I

am

reluctant

to sleep

for fear of dreaming

cuz

I know truth

and

I know fantasy

land

is where

I'd rather be

with you

but

without you

I will no doubt

persevere
