I watch the fire dance and sway,
like the moonlight on this lake.
Slowly the stars start their journey,
and once again I'm with you.
Reality is a lifetime away from me.
As I feel the need to run and to scream.
I need your gaze to scald my skin,
and your kiss to soothe the pain.
I reach out to hold you,
and you melt away.
I awake with a cry of pain,
to find myself alone again.
