They were trained, these Vietnamese war dogs,
dogs who would have lain down (and often did)
their lives for their human captors..
What was their reward for their total
fidelity.. their unconditional love?
Generals defined them as property
and ordered their abandonment. leaving them behind
in Vietnam..
just as most hierarchy treat underlings
