....PATIENCE with life & its temptations.

           So I tried to teach them how to wait until

           the thing they wanted was ready to be theirs;

           and that some things, 'tho good, must wait long;

....RESPECT for themselves and all others.  So I tried

           to teach them about themselves, and all others;

           how there would always be a place in everyone

           for humility, even amid our graces and our faults;

....HONOR for Family and our Traditions.  So I tried

           to teach them of all the true Beauty in the

           continuity of Faith all throughout our Heritage,

           and how God had blessed and protected us so well;

....AWE  for God and His Creation.  So I tried to teach

           them their purpose in Creation, and of Creation's

           purpose in them: in everyone there is meaning,

           and in everything there is Purpose; be patient;

....SIMPLICITY, PURITY, PRACTICALITY......oh, I would teach

           ALL of these, and so much more!



           And when I looked at their lives,

           and at the lives they had generated

           for a NEW Heritage in our family,

           I realized that they HAD learned

           EVERYTHING I had hoped they would....



           ,,,,and they had learned it from YOU,

                  their  Mother.
