Scant? It’s define with me REVISED

Headline in today's N.Y. Times:

'Judge in Trump Documents Case Has Scant Criminal Trial Experience'

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/14/us/politics/aileen-cannon-judge-trump-documents.html

Urbandictionary.com defines 'scant' as 'short for a 'scandalous' person'.

Donald Trump and scandal. Like love and marriage, you can't have one without the other. A scandalous person for sure. Wouldn't you want a judge who has experience dealing with a 'scant' like Donald Trump?  I sure would!

REVISED! PLEASE READ!

I'm seriously reconsidering saying I would want Judge Aileen Cannon as judge in the documents case. No, it's not because she was appointed by Trump or that she has, in the past, ruled in his favor.
What bothers me is what's stated in the first sentence of the second paragraph of this story:

'Judge Cannon, 42, has been on the bench since November 2020...'

She's been on the bench since November 2020?  That's over 2 1/2 years!! I'm not playing games when I tell you that's an awfully long time to be on the bench. Judge Cannon isn't playing games either. Because she's on the bench.

There must be a reason why that hasn't been disclosed. Until I learn more about why she's still on the bench and not in the game l'll be withholding my support.
