SAND'S OF TIME

The sand's of time, they rush on ever slowly

as mysterious life keeps rushing ever on

sometimes in life we think we've been really clever

but what kindness to others have we done

Have you been kind to someone in deep sorrow

or have you past them quickly by in mocking haste

did you help that soul you though was slowing drowning

a life that pretty much had gone to waste

Have you seen a child that was naked and was hungry

was he crying too, in hopeless thirst

did you rush by with worldy wealth increasing

and think selfishly of your on self first

As life rushed by, did you see a feeble one fall forward

did you listen, as they pitiously cried out for help

did you stand by and watched them as they floundered

and think, there must be something in their life, this fate has dealt

Have you ever fostered scores of helpless children

their homes all destroyed by some mighty storm

or have you thought only of yourself and money

from that far off distand day when you were born

Oh, my friend, just let me truly tell you

life's such an overwhelming wondrous thing

sometimes you get rewards untold for just a little praying
and for hope and joy to others you might bring

Have you been thankful for all of your great possession's

for things that you have held most precious in your life

for childrem, your health, your home and loved ones

your husband or your wife

Oh friend as your life rolls slowly, slowly onward

have you done poorley or have you done real fine

for it's only you that can conquor life's most precious moments

and slow the sands of time
