+ 1ST POEMS: Written To The Great Christian Poet, T. S. Eliot

Each of your Ariel poems well conveys

the awe inspired by God's salvific Grace---

known, like His Father, through Christ's ministry,

compassion, and Words' spoken Poetry.

You show us how even our History---

despite the grim accuser's perfidy---

is servant to our Savior's sovereignty.

Your late conversion to the Faith still jars

certain skeptics too smug about their lack;

and thus, most of them are taken aback.

But I am taken to the certainty

that we are seated in the Heavenly,

and will meet there on one of these fine days,

when my soul soars toward my Savior's bright stars.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The poem alludes to Revelation 12:10, Ephesians 2:6, and LXX Sirach 43:9-10.
