I've given up
everything I've ever stood for
everything I've ever wanted
everything to where there's nothing left in my core

I've given up
my childhood
and all the days that were supposed to be good
but as I look around, I realize that
maybe after all, things turned out as they should

I've given up
my word
when I promised I was done
I'm trying to stay away
but it's hard when I'm the only one

on just about everything..
