I wonder what its like to be your girlfriend
To be the pretty one in the world where families don’t touch each other
Where the biggest problem is a divorce and a purchased ‘stolen’ cottage
I wonder what its like to be the girl who brings baked brie to the Sunday BBQ
And who packs tiny notes in the children’s lunches
I wonder what its like to be her all the time…
Almost as much as I wonder what the hell her man is doing loving me
