11. I Want to Be Your Fantasy

Babe, I want to be your fantasy

But the structure of life forbids it.

These days there's no Wild West to be settled,

A guy's got to be straight-laced and follow the path

That checkmarks each corner of the Way Beyond.

With that great an effort he'll still need some luck

To maintain in this world and provide for a family.

I could rebel against establishment

Increasing my short-term appeal,

Yet if I do that I'll hurt my chances

Of finding a light at the end of this tunnel.

There's no need for dissapointment, though -

If you'd fancy an acting job that can be arranged.

I'm mighty good at pretending.

I'm sure you'll agree.

Come with me.
