The Word
“The pen is mightier than the sword”,so they say.
For "in the beginning was the word."
So pick your words with care, for if a word can create a world,
then surely it can also destroy one.
One kind word, spoken, perhaps without a thought,
can lift a soul from the edge of the abyss.
One unkind word, perhaps taken out of context,
Can push the suffering soul over the edge.
My advice, if you’ll take it, is to always use kind words, in preference.
A suicide, even based on a misunderstanding, leaves deep scars.
These never heal, except for those on the victim.
If you really intend to kill someone, get a sword!
