The New and the Old World
A silence surrounded a valley. A mysterious and delightful odor blew into the air no sound, no life, and no happiness, only an image, a lonesome image settled in the valley. Suddenly a voice, warm, strong and powerful, broke the silence, saying: “This is the place”. Far away at the top of the valley, where the grass was green and the wind blew in whirlwinds, a light post started to illuminate with a weak but beautiful light. It was not a normal light. It was a mix between blue, red, yellow, green, and purple, like rainbow that appears when the rain has stopped, only leaving the dew of the morning. The light irradiated warm, peace, and love. In a few seconds, the light had reached every corner of the valley. Suddenly something appeared in the sky, something big and majestic, and it landed besides the light post. The creature was a kind of bird, but without feathers. After a while, a big and powerful animal appeared, walking with four legs. It stopped beside the light post, and then more and more creatures appeared, some small and some big, some that could fly, and some that could run. A second light turn on from the light post but at the edge of the valley a strange sound (like angels clapping) and a blue color surrounded the entire valley. This was the ocean, with waves that clashed against each other. Suddenly, far away in the ocean, something jumped from the water, making an arch with the body like a fish and quickly when into to its water again. And then more of these and more started to appear. One day, a bird was talking with the other birds while they were watching the light post. The birds felt superior to the other animals because, as they said, they could see everything from the sky, and they were the first in appear in the world. This is why they had to live near the light post. One bird convinced the others to start a war among creatures that in habited the ground. In consequence, the others animals started to defend their territory. A lot of creatures were killed. Finally, the birds won the battle, and the bird’s boss, who was extremely ambitious and selfish tried to take the light post in his hand, but suddenly, the light post made exploded then destroyed the entire valley, leaving only the creatures of the ocean. And then the light extended far away and this became the sun. Centuries passed. The sun came up one morning over an Earth that was devastated. Under the ground, an ant appeared, and then a new world started, but this time the light was far away and unreachable.
