Hearts Change

Through the night the echoes shatter.

Useless spraying of endless chatter.

They had carried away what was meant to be.

Me? I'm standing horrid,

Watching as they slam my life in front of me.

What is it that they cannot see?

I guess they want me to bleed.

They all had tormented my mind.

Let's step back and rewind,

And see who has done what to me.

I'll make them pay and set my anger free!

Father had always said this was my destiny...

He had always thought he knew what was best for me.

Little did he know,

As he watched his daughter grow,

That soon she would step away from the light,

And give her heart away to the darkness of night.

Soon before his eyes,

He tried to deny every one of his lies.

Truth was a virtue he did despise.

As he smacked the girl he ignored her cries.

There she lay before him...

Making a decision to sink or swim,

She first thought of what was to become of him.

Then she thought the best thing was to sink,

Because she was on the brink

Of suicide

No one was willing to let her inside

Shunned and tormented constantly by her peers

She hid everything away with her deepest fears

Look at what it did to her over the years,

But she still thinks that they are a bunch of queers.

She had always thought she didn't deserve to be loved,

Because of her ways no one thought of her like the clouds above.

Most of them thought she was a peaceful girl,

Until she let them into her world.

Now people begin to think twice,

When she began to act nice.
